Matt Powers, is a Harrogate, Tennessee native and attended Middlesboro High School in Kentucky. While at Middlesboro he played football, basketball and baseball. Following high school, he attended Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY on a football scholarship. He was a letterman all 4 years, 1st team all mid-south conference for two years, Capitol One Academic All-American, made the NFL Pro football hall of fame All-Commonwealth team, and was Lindsey Wilson’s Student Athlete of the year. After obtaining a bachelors of science in psychophysiology at Lindsey Wilson in 2014, he obtained his clinical doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in May of 2017.
Matt’s clinical experience has been focused in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation in patients with non-operative and post-operative pathology, however Matt’s special interests include pre-injury and sports performance. Matt currently is active in his community where he covers Pineville high school sporting events and helps develop middle school through college aged athletes in injury prevention and sports performance training.
